DAY TWENTY-SEVEN - After holding off elimination twice in a row, the Chicago Bulls are not just "holding off" any longer - they're legitimately contending to win this series. The Pistons try once again to take down the resurging Bulls tonight in Chicago.
Bulls at Pistons, 8:00 PM, ESPN
Winner: Bulls
Thoughts: I owe the Bulls an apology. After two games of thinking the Bulls would remain in the slide they stumbled into early in the series, it's become clear to me the Bulls have instead began to regain the form they had in round one. In the past two games the Bulls have won by an average of 15.5 points and Ben Gordon and Luol Deng have averaged 23.5 and 22.5 points per game, respectively. Chicago isn't just barely managing to scrap by and avoid the inevitable, in the past two games they have purely out played the Pistons. Detroit is struggling to hit shots from the outside and is no longer asserting their dominance on the inside. Chicago is rolling, and quickly turned this series from what looked like a sweep, into a competitive series. Bulls win.
