DAY THIRTY-FIVE - Utah came correct in game three at home, getting the win and making this the series everyone expected to be. Boozer, Williams, and the rest of the Jazz gear up and look to go 2-0 at home in these Western Conference Finals
Spurs at Jazz, 9:00 PM, ESPN
Winner: Spurs
Thoughts: Enough can't be said about how the Jazz came out in game three. Deron Williams player a straight up superstar game, period. Boozer continued to be top flight also with 27 and 12. Kirilenko and Okur failed to show up, again, but the Jazz were able to overcome that nonetheless.
What we have to look at is how and why San Antonio lost. We know why Utah won, they played great and got big games from their star players. San Antonio lost for the most part due to bad execution, particularly on the offensive end. At times during the second half it wasn't even bad execution, so much as it was a lack of offensive sets altogether. When Duncan went out with foul trouble the Spurs could frequently be seen standing around and watching as Parker or Ginobili tried to create off the dribble. This isn't the way the Spurs play and certainly not how they're going to win. Thankfully for the Spurs, this is also easily corrected. Coach Gregg Popovich is sure to have drilled the need for ball movement into his players' heads over these last couple of days.
The Spurs will come out sharp and motivated for game four tonight, and if Duncan can stay on the floor and out of foul trouble, I think San Antonio has a great chance at going up three games to one. Spurs win.
